Working in London, Andrew Kearney is one of Ireland's leading sculptors working in new media, involving sense experience of space, sound, and light to transport the viewer into a heightened awareness. His high-tech installations bring information from the outside world to an inside space; Kearney creates a space that feels other worldly, where light and sound are the diving rods. He is interested in evoking memories of being somewhere, both visually and sensually. Kearney presents new work in Galway Arts Centre, transforming the space, with sound, light and video.
