Galway Arts Festival offers a hugely exciting variety of cultural experiences for the people of Galway presented with such imagination and flair, bringing an amazing energy and life to the city each summer.

I am delighted to have such a strong friendship and connection with Galway Arts Festival and I have taken great pleasure performing and attending the Festival and working with so many great artists and companies on Galway’s stages. Your wonderful audiences have been so warm and enthusiastic on my visits to the Festival.

Cultural over the years has been a vital calling card for Ireland, and now more than ever it is so important to support one of the shining lights of your beautiful city which brings tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world to Galway every July.

The anticipation; the sense of excitement; the vibrant buzz on the city streets; the colour; the magic and sheer joy of the city at Festival time is unique to Galway. It has been wonderful to see how much the people of Galway treasure the Festival and it is fantastic to witness the Festival bringing such amazing energy and life to the city each summer. 

I am delighted once again to be the Honorary Patron of Galway Arts Festival’s - Friends of the Festival, and I encourage you to support it.
